X-seam measurement for custom trike fit
Step One · Custom Fit

Your trike must fit you.

Your trike must fit you — and your riding style. Period. As we learn more about how you ride and you test trikes in our showroom, we narrow the wide list of options down to the trikes that fit you best.

We're experienced and trained to offer the best custom fit possible, so you'll enjoy your trike from the very first ride. Fill out the Contact Us form to get started toward enjoying a fun, comfortable recumbent trike!

Step Two · Safety

Read your owner's manual.

Eight habits that keep every ride safe — for you and everyone else on the trail. Print these and stick 'em in the garage.

01

Pre-ride check. Bolts, brakes, tire inflation, steering, all components. A few minutes that'll save your day.

02

Top condition. Keep your trike in top condition. Attend our free maintenance class to learn more.

03

Wear the gear. Foot restraints (clips or straps), helmet, flag, hi-vis clothing, bell or horn, lights.

04

Pick the right roads. Ride in protected areas like greenways and bike paths whenever possible.

05

Smooth inputs. Learn to ride, shift and steer smoothly. Avoid over-braking and over-steering.

06

Eyes on traffic. Use extra caution around drivers, other cyclists, and pedestrians — they may be distracted.

07

Rules of the road. Follow them. Communicate with other riders, walkers... and use good old common sense.

08

Enjoy the ride.

Step Three · Shifting

Smooth shifting made simple.

You may be a cycling pro — or you may be like most of us and need an occasional reminder on shifting basics. Here's the short version.

01

Always keep the pedals turning forward while shifting.

02

Start with the right side shifter. Take it slow and concentrate on smooth shifts with the rear cassette. Most riding can be enjoyed with this shifter alone. Explore the left shifter (front chainring) once you're comfortable.

03

Light, steady pressure. Shift one click at a time to find a comfortable, efficient pedal cadence. Avoid mashing the pedals through the shift — a slight, momentary ease of pedal pressure (not a full stop) helps.

04

Anticipate hills. Start downshifting before you start climbing. Your legs and your derailleur will both thank you.

05

Ride comfortably and enjoy.

Step Four · Break-in

The first checkup.

After riding your new trike for a few weeks during the break-in period, set an appointment so we can double-check all components and make sure everything has settled in well.

This is included with every new trike purchase.

Step Five · Ongoing

Service that keeps it rolling.

We're equipped to perform all regular service and maintenance for your trike. We recommend at least one tune-up per year, more often if you ride higher mileage.

We work closely with our manufacturers to make sure your trike is assembled and tuned to perform exactly as it was designed.

Keep 'Em Rolling Guarantee

We service what we sell.

The first year of ownership includes a free tune-up and adjustments. After that, we keep maintenance schedules simple and affordable so your trike continues to be a joy to ride.

Trike needs a tune? Bring it in.

Whether it's our trike or someone else's, if we can help, we will. Schedule a service appointment and we'll get you rolling.
